The Role: The Senior Manager Collections will oversee the repayment and collections department, ensuring that cases are handled appropriately and according to company policy. With excellent organizational skills, this role is expected to lead a team of 100 + collection staff members to communicate with clients and increase the percentage of successful repayments. This role reports to the HOD (Collections) and will be based out of Bangalore Key Responsibilities: - The SM Collections will be responsible to coordinate activities of staff members to ensure a smooth and efficient department that reduces the number of cases that are overlooked. - Oversee the collection of outstanding credit and repayment to minimize profit loss while ensuring it is handled appropriately and as per company policy. - Create and implement strategies to increase the number of successful collections on outstanding debt. - Train and evaluate staff members within the collections department to ensure a sufficient number of staff members are available to handle the workload. - Develop goals that complement the overarching business goals of the company and coordinate staff to continually meet and exceed goals. - Run reports and analyze data pertaining to the department and share with executive staff and managers of department staff as needed. - Communicate with clients to build and maintain a strong working relationship - Implement credit policies and procedures that retain a smooth running of the department and avoid excessive credit limits Candidate Profile: - Senior leader with proven success in managing high performing teams - Overall experience of around 10-12 years, with experience of heading a large team - Must be completely hands-on with willingness to deep dive into any issue to get a resolution. - Must be detail-oriented and analytical, problem solving, have self-motivated and organized personality that thrives in a data-driven environment - Demonstrates strong interpersonal skills and builds strong relationships across functions. - Takes ownership and drives a sense of urgency; highly accountable. - Excellent - coach- who is results oriented, and can build and motivate high performance teams. - Ability to work in a diverse and cross-functional environment.
