Retail Buyer
Job Description :
Buying :- Work with teams to get the best possible selection for both brands
- Improve the mix at channel and partner level - Core , NSM & SMU
- Optimize the sell through and the in stock rate
- Work to develop new verticals and products within existing inline with market trends
- Own the buying across channels and partners in adherence to the OTB
Market Understanding :- Develop a thorough knowledge of the market - short term and long term trends
- Know the market : Stay on top of trends in the industry, find opportunities and prioritize based on potential of brands, platform strengths, internal capabilities, etc.
- Know the competition : Understand online and offline players. Ensure the selection stays well ahead of competition
Desired Skills and Experience :- Knowledge of Retail, footwear/ lifestyle industry is a plus
- Desire and ability to think like the customer
- Ability to translate strategies into execution plans and take them to completion
- Highly analytical
- Willing to take calculated risks to grow the category
- Excellent verbal and written communication with interpersonal skills
- Strong understanding of technology and business
- Must be willing to learn
- Ability to connect with people across teams & levels
- Strong bias for Action
