Business/Sr Business Analyst - Healthcare

The requirement is for a well-rounded, seasoned Healthcare professional with a deep understanding on either Provider or Payer side. This is a thought leadership role which will involve working with business and delivery stakeholders (client as well as internal) and proposing solutions based on sub-domain that the application/client addresses. This needs senior, mature, articulate Business analysts/individuals who are obviously very well versed with the domain as well as in handling clients/assessment situations.
Domain

- Solid understanding of the US Healthcare domain with specialization in either Clinical systems (EMR, EHR, HIS, CDSS) Revenue cycle management, Care Analytics or Care Management.

- A strong understanding of data standards and transfer protocols (CDA/CCDs, HL7, X12 EDI)

- Insight into aggregation frameworks like HIEs and/or HIX

- Deep understanding of incentive programs like Meaningful Use, ACO, HEDIS

- Quality reporting frameworks like PQRS/HIQR/HOQR

- Understanding of medical vocabularies like ICD, LOINC and SNOMED

Skills

- Ability to engage with customers and articulate solutions

- Ability to mentor and guide individuals and teams towards developing a deeper domain understanding

- Ability to develop solutions based on high level problem statements

- A solid understanding of how agile delivery works and how requirements are managed within an agile project

Responsibilities

- Perform assessments for applications in line with evolving trends and identify gaps and suggest roadmap for mitigations

- Performing assessments and reviews for delivery projects and sales teams

- Developing solutions for delivery and sales teams

- Evangelizing healthcare expertise within the organization

- Demonstrating thought leadership

- Experience in U.S. healthcare provider domain

- SME on HIS, works both onsite and offshore involving in system studies, gap analyses, and preparing BRDs

- Provides consultancy services to prospective and existing clients (both external as well as internal) on HIS

- Is an integral part of the requirements review team for the Provider BU

- Mentor other BAs on healthcare provider segment

- Contribute to the organization-wide healthcare specialization efforts in the healthcare provider space

- Demonstrated thought-leadership in the healthcare provider arena

- Sound knowledge (expertise) of current business as well as technology trends in the HIS landscape and a vision of future trends and demonstrate this expertise in terms of healthcare IT (Provider) solutions

- Proven ability to articulate industry challenges with HIS implementations and solutions

- Prior working experience as well as expertise on healthcare standards

- In-depth knowledge of the RCM processes as well as sub-processes

- Thorough understanding and experience of delivery methodology – Waterfall, Agile, etc.

- Sound analytical, and problem solving skills

- Excellent written and oral communication

- Excellent presentation skills – both spoken and written
