Business Reporting Analyst

Position Overview:

The main responsibility of the Business Reporting Analyst is to gather, collect and analyze business data that is hosted in our data warehouses, mostly running on SQL. This role requires delivering high quality reports to the management so they are able to make important business decisions.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Monthly time and metrics reporting- Revenue and resource reporting and analysis- Forecasting (Revenue, resource)- Business performance dashboards- Decision Support Analysis- Complete ad-hoc analysis and special projects as defined by the needs of the business - Administration of Project Insight system.

Responsibilities:

- Report creation based on data coming from a variety of business systems and data warehouses including quick box and sales force.

- Using a variety of reporting tools like My-report, Microsoft Excel and SQL Reporting Services

- Supporting Business Intelligence and Analytic's initiatives initiated by the organization.

- Initiating data mining activities on data warehouses by working closely with a SQL DBA.

- Understanding complex data models inside databases to collect required information for reporting purposes

- Experienced in creating Management reports and setting up Reporting

- Creating, Updating and Improving the reports created for our quick box data warehouse containing financial information

- Creating Macro driven Excel workbooks if required.

- Being involved in rationalization of existing databases.

- Collaborate with global IT teams on request in certain projects.

- Track and maintain appropriate project and routine activity metrics.

- Establish and maintain a high level of accuracy during routine and project activities.

- Other activities as required to achieve defined job objectives.

Skill Requirements:

- Experience with data analysis and discovering trends and patterns in large data sets.

- Experienced in creating professional management reports.

- Experienced in using SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS),

- Candidate should be a Microsoft Excel expert.

- Software certification is a benefit, especially on Microsoft Excel.

- Strong understanding of MS SQL reporting services.

- Experience with SQL databases in general is a pre-requisite.

- Strong interpersonal and project management skills, ability to work with other people in our global organization is important. English fluency in both verbal and writing is a requirement.
