Title of position: Business Process Owner - ( RTP/ ATR/ OTC/ Kewill)

Reporting to : Head of Transformation - Damco FNA

Location : Chennai

Level : JL4

Scope, Purpose & general responsibilities of the position :

- The Business Process Owner is responsible to manage the design and solutioning of the ATR/ RTP/OTC on Kewill/ FACT interface related process in Finance & Accounting domain.

- This involves the holistic Business Process ownership of ATR / RTP/OTC on Kewill/ FACT interface related process & is responsible for aiming to be at the top quartile process efficiency of FNA. Responsible for providing Process governance & ERP support / implementation for the process.

- To implement solution driven best practices and other techniques that result in improvements in efficiency and effectiveness of the Finance function.

Specific responsibilities of the position :

Act as Primary Business Process Owner for Kewill / FACT interface related to the following processes globally :

- ATR

- OTC

- RTP

- Identifies key value drivers and defined metrics to inform & aid E2E performance, support decision making, and foster positive behavior and actions.

- Provides Global Finance Transformation management in the areas of system integration and/or governance.

- Is Responsible for Compliance and Governance as per the agreed framework from Service Control as well as Process head for all verticals within the Process

- Establishes and defines a 'Transformation Plan' for ATR/ RTP/OTC & on Kewill/ FACT interface related processes that aims for 'best in class' levels of End to End Service, Quality & Productivity parameters

- Develops, builds and offers innovative services around ATR / RTP/OTC & on Kewill/ FACT interface related Process Improvement including IT tools for performance enhancement

- Identify areas where Process or system changes are necessary or beneficial, and drive the implementation of these changes.

- Design, document, test and implement Process and system changes

- Ensure adequate process support for FACT End Users (Through proper training, documentation and IT Support)

- Undertakes change management customer engagement activities for transformation projects

Act as Backup Business Process Owner for the following processes globally:

- RTP BPO/BPS

- OTC BPO/ BPS

- ATR BPO/ BPS

Measurement/success criteria of the position :

Responsible for driving continuous improvement to the performance and efficiency of the accounting processes within Damco, measured via :

- Process performance indicators for the processes in scope.

- Data quality in FACT

- Quality and value of the process improvement initiatives delivered.

- Level of process maturity for processes in scope (including documentation, training, automation, support requirements etc.)

- Dashboard performance

Collaboration and support :

- Work closely with all the team which includes, GSC delivery, Damco centre, Operations, Global Projects team etc., to ensure process improvement projects deliver value to the organization.

- Maintain good relationships and close cooperation with FACT users and IT teams.

- Coordinate with other BPOs to ensure smooth integration with other processes both in Finance and in other functions.

Specific requirements for the position :

- Strong FNA domain experience overall 12-14 years with specific SAP FI/MM/ SD integration experience of 5-7 yrs. Kewill application knowledge is added advantage, with strong & proven experience in SAP interface - trouble shooting, solutioning, implementation, support & governance

- Awareness of Damco FACT setup & FNA Process flows is preferable

- Experience in the areas of Business process re-engineering, Process design, Organizational transformation, Change management

- Industry knowledge of logistics & freight forwarding

- Exposure to project management

- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (especially in English)

- Excellent analytical skills to locate potential areas for improvement with high-end process mapping skills.

- Innovative with a persuasive mindset to drive & implement changes by managing stakeholders from different regions and levels of the organization

- Should be persistent and have a sense of urgency
