Business Operations Manager Research Projects (4-9 years)

Job opportunity for working professionals having at least 4 years of experience in managing research projects, project Management, Digital/Business transformations, process reengineering, product development, and automation. The candidate needs to understand the business and work with team globally as well as internal operations/ functions and provides both tactical and strategic direction on all operational aspects for the sector.


Shift: 12 noon to 9 pm India time

Location: Mumbai (preferred)/ Gurgaon

Principal responsibilities include:

- Creating and managing research project plans including PID (Project Intention Doc)

- Working with the Banking Sector leaders globally to manage resources to ensure appropriate staffing and skill set is assigned to each project.

- Managing the research project lifecycle, i.e., questionnaire development, universe development, data collection during fielding, data processing and report development to ensure that high quality output is produced and delivered on a timely basis

- Leading key planning meetings, status meetings, solutions meeting - providing meeting minutes where applicable

- Working with cross functional teams to resolve project related scheduling and resource issues

- Leading strategic operational initiatives driving efficiency and work with Development team to implement enhancements to apps/ processes

- Identifying relevant third-party data inputs, coordinate its sourcing and implementation into the existing workflow, also including coordination with the IT team

- Assisting in vetting and development efforts for all potential new projects and lead operational aspects of new business initiatives in the Sector

- Point person to the team on most topics, who to go to for what, questions about technology & how they work together, processes, issues, etc.

Secondary Responsibilities:

- Identifying and escalating areas of perceived risk. Formulating solutions and plans to mitigate the risk.

- Providing and documenting detailed root-cause analysis for all delays that result in status downgrade.

- Creating and maintaining a list of metrics which help evaluate the health of the sector.

- Working with Sector Business Managers across regions on global projects.

- Oversee the facility design process and review all requests for new facilities.

- Maintaining project documentation (PID/Project Plans).

- Ensuring the cataloguing and maintenance of review notes using a SharePoint.

- Ensuring organization and preparation of review notes for questionnaire design purposes.

Required Experience:

- Bachelor's Degree required, MBA a plus.

- 5+ years of experience in managing operations in a global setting.

- Ability to drive process efficiency through innovation and business reengineering.

- Strong skills to coordinate with various business, operation and support teams.

- Hands-on with business analysis, product development, data sourcing and management as well as automation.

- Solid communication and presentation skills.

- Strong execution skills

- Ability to map processes and identify automation opportunity areas

- Experience in working on global cross-team projects is a strong plus
