Business Modelling
- Work effectively with personnel from a variety of disciplines (Clients, advisory teams different geographies such as Germany, US, UK, Middle East and Asia Pacific) to provide business modelling driven advisory solutions to a wide variety of business challenges / problems
- Application of analysis and modelling solutions to complex and diverse client problems;
- Development of Business Planning & Forecasting processes and tools;
- Development of Management Information processes and tools;
- Transaction (M&A) Modelling; and
- Model testing & review.
- Independently handle and lead efforts around conceptualization, execution and delivery of assignments
- Ensure QA of outputs to the client while adequately undertaking project management, client management and team management
- Co-ordinate with onsite engagement teams to ensure high quality, on-time delivery
- Review models and feedback findings to clients ;
- Ensure the consistency of client models with project documentation and data books;
- Take responsibility for technical skill-building within the organization (training, process definition, research of new tools and techniques, etc)
- Interact directly with clients (and other internal and external stakeholders) to obtain relevant data and other documents
- Assess data accuracy and reasonableness and follow-up directly with clients to gain necessary understanding and to resolve anomalies
- Interface with senior executives of clients and target companies
- Proactively set-up and lead meetings / phone calls with the stakeholders for obtaining clarifications, resolving issues, communicating progress and post-delivery de-brief and feedback
- Draft technical documentation and client presentations
- Document model issues for inclusion in review reports and liaising with the project manager to fully explain the points raised;
- Review and commenting on revised models received from clients to verify whether review comments have been acted upon;
- Support the specification / design of models and analysis tools;
- Develop models (incl. integrated P&L, Cash flow and Balance sheet models) from scratch;
- Carry out analysis of the outputs of models;
- Document the operation of models and the findings from our work; and
- 5 - 6 years working experience of Business/ Financial Modelling, consulting, Financial Analysis;
- Strong team manager with the ability to organise, plan and prioritise, adaptable, open to change and continuously seeking opportunities to improve systems, processes and methods
- Demonstrated ability to learn and succeed in a fast-paced environment as well as strong verbal and written communication skills and a team player
- A good working knowledge of accounting, financial statements, and financial analysis, in particular financial evaluation methods (NPV and IRR);
- Experience in Infrastructure modelling working on PFI / PPP transactions will be an advantage; Specific sector experience like Transport, Energy, Utilities will be an advantage.
Strong problem solving skills;
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel;
- A commercial outlook and a good understanding of the general business and economic environment; and
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Ability to build effective networks internally and externally
- Experience of working with clients / teams outside India
- Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with multiple stakeholders
- Ability to travel
- B.Com, MBA Finance/MSc. Finance / CA / CFA
