Business Management Specialist - Investment Bank

Key Responsibilities:

- Acting as an owner and the first point of contact to coordinate queries.

- Managing resources, including tracking hires and leavers and cost behavior governance

- Acting as a business coordinator for GPS in Global Position Management (GPM) for Human Resources (HR) topics, such as hire approvals and contract offers.

- Producing Management Information (MI) and accurate, independent, regular and ad-hoc reporting for ExCo and ExCo-1 e.g. Full time Employee (FTE), cost walks.

- Ensuring full Business Continuity Management (BCM) Global Coverage and compliance with GPS Cost centres, including ownership of GPS London Plan

- Managing Concur/Approve approval chains to ensure cost governance

- Coordinating with product, coverage and other central functions, as well as experts from all parts of the Bank.

- Performing independent reviews to identify, highlight and document issues, ensuring prompt escalation

- Identifying issues to further develop internal processes

- Ensuring regular communication and co-ordination with the global GPS teams

- Actively supporting the strategy, plans and values of Bank

- Taking ownership for your own career, seeking opportunities for continuous development and making improved performance contributions

- Acting as a role model for new employees

Skills & Qualifications

- Previous experience in a Chief Operating Officer (COO)/ Business Management role

- Educated to Bachelor's degree level (Business Administration or Science is beneficial) or equivalent qualification/work experience

- Sound knowledge of the WM's value chain

- A self-starter with strong analytical skills

- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to create presentations and reports

- Strong organisational and planning skills

- Excellent spreadsheet and/or basic database skills (data matching, data entry, basic reporting)

- Knowledge of the banking and financial sectors

- Comfortable working independently, with a team and in other offices

- Ability to work under pressure
