Role Purpose:

- The role is to work with Global Market ops Bangalore team to execute the Settlement functions for multiple products

- Drive the change requirement with other hubs across settlement function

- Engage stakeholder across various hubs in standardizing the process & improvement programs.

- The individual should have strong products expertise across all the segments & should have exposure to deal with various customized process in efficient manner

Accountabilities

Key responsibilities:

Financial

- Drive process excellence & improvement across all the function resulting into better efficiency

- Develop an environment of continuous focus on quantifiable productivity and quality.

Customer:

- Provide timely solution for any issues related to customer's transaction across all the products.

- Understanding of customer and stakeholder needs and drivers to match operational needs with customer experience and expectations.

Process:

- Recommendation to follow standard process in delivering expected outcome.

- Ensure the recommended process meets the necessary risk & control requirements

- Challenge the design of the existing process from a customer, risk and efficiency perspective

- Provide SME to run the change programme and other development work to increase the efficiency & quality in process .

People:

- Liaise with key stakeholders, customers and team members to ensure the new procedures meets bank standards.

- Build strong working relationships between Operations teams, Business, Technology, Implementation and other stakeholders.

- Develop individual to participate in strategic programmes & share the expertise to enhance system & process capabilities to deliver more in less time .

Risk/compliance/behaviours:

- Ensure adherence to the client's Policies and Process

- Liaison with appropriate Relationship Mgrs, Risk Mgrs and Senior Mgt to approve any deviations.

- Work along with Risk team to Identify risk and implement controls

- Identify trends, risks & issues; resolve and/or report and escalate them as required.

Skills, knowledge & experience:

- 7-10 years of financial industry experience preferably in Investment Banking / Investment Management

- Hands on experience in processing primarily in Settlements

- Ability to handle day to day functional requirements - Strong orientation towards risk and control

- Strong product knowledge in one or more asset classes across Foreign Exchange, Rates, Fixed Income, Derivatives, Commodities etc -

- Strong functional knowledge in Settlements across Inter Banks and Corporates

- Strong functional knowledge of Cash Management

- Strong Functional knowledge of Settlement method like Netting, Gross etc

- Strong Functional knowledge of CLS

- Strong functional and technical knowledge of FXAll, GTSS, MISYS etc

- Good exposure to international markets across Asia, Europe and USA -

- Proven change management capabilities and project management skills are desirable -

- Strong people management skills -

- Ability to handle multi-locational and multi- regional teams -

- Ability to drive Process Excellence and Improvement programs -

- Experience in standardization and risk reduction in business and process -

- Strong inter personal skills -

- Ability to work with multiple stakeholders -

- Leading from the front -

- Proven track record in issue resolution and client engagement
