Business Intelligence Role - eCommerce

THE ROLE:

- Determine operational objectives by studying business functions; gathering information; evaluating output requirements and formats

- Construct workflow charts and diagrams; studying system capabilities; writing specifications

- Improve systems by studying current practices; designing modifications

- Recommend controls by identifying problems; writing improved procedures

- Define project requirements by identifying project milestones, phases and elements; forming project team; establishing project budget

- Monitor project progress by tracking activity; resolving problems; publishing progress reports; recommending action

- Perform deep data research and apply business acumen to pull strategic insights from available data

- Communicate actively and effectively with executive leadership, analytical peers, and data engineers

- Drive end-to-end analytics: identify an opportunity, derive a solution, present your findings and finally drive an action for the business to take that has quantifiable value

REQUIREMENTS/CHARACTERISTICS:

- Analytically driven

- Excellent time management and prioritization skills

- Intellectually curious & exhibited ability and desire to provide insights above and beyond what's asked

- Strong communication and organizational skills

- Ability to thrive in a fast pace environment

- 4+ years of professional experience in an analytical role

- Experience working directly with executive leadership

- Bachelor's or Graduate degree in Math, Finance, Economics, Stats or other quantitative field preferred

- Hands on experience with MS PowerPoint, Excel, Tableau (or other visualization tool) and SQL/R preferred

- Understanding of AWS technologies will be a advantage

- Understanding of ETL processes is a plus
