Job Description:
As the Business Head you will play a pivotal role in driving business development, fostering strategic growth, and ensuring profitability. Your responsibilities will encompass a wide range of tasks including but not limited to:
Business Development:
- Identify and pursue opportunities to expand our market presence and client base within the unlisted equities sector.
- Cultivate strategic partnerships with key stakeholders including issuers, investors, regulatory bodies, and industry associations.
- Develop innovative strategies to penetrate new markets and capitalize on emerging trends in the unlisted securities landscape.
Business Growth:
- Drive revenue growth through effective sales and marketing initiatives tailored to the unique needs of unlisted equities investors.
- Analyze market dynamics and competitive landscape to capitalize on growth opportunities and maintain a competitive edge.
- Continuously monitor performance metrics and KPIs to track progress towards growth targets and adjust strategies as necessary.
Strategy Development:
- Formulate and implement comprehensive business strategies to achieve long-term objectives and sustain competitive advantage.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align business goals with product development, technology enhancements, and operational excellence.
- Conduct regular market research and industry analysis to identify emerging trends and adapt strategies accordingly.
P&L Responsibility:
- Assume accountability for the financial performance of the unlisted equities trading platform, including revenue generation, cost management, and profitability.
- Develop annual budgets and financial forecasts in alignment with strategic objectives, and oversee adherence to financial targets.
- Implement initiatives to optimize operational efficiency and maximize profitability while ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
Client Onboarding:
- Lead the client onboarding process, ensuring a seamless and efficient experience for new users joining the platform.
- Develop and implement client engagement strategies to enhance retention and foster long-term relationships with investors and issuers.
- Gather feedback from clients to identify opportunities for service improvements and address any concerns or challenges proactively.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, or related field (MBA preferred).
- Proven track record of success in business development, preferably within the financial services industry with exposure to unlisted equities.
- Strong understanding of financial markets, trading platforms, and regulatory frameworks governing unlisted securities.
- Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate cross-functional teams to achieve ambitious goals.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret complex data and derive actionable insights.
- Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to evolving market conditions.
