Business Head - FMCG/Retail - East

We are looking to bring on board a transformational leader as part of the senior management team as Business Head - East. The incumbent will be responsible and accountable for the overall Retail operation and management of the East Zone.

The successful candidate is expected to bring a sharp focus to organizational development and growth, and with emphasis on implementing the agreed strategy for the Eastern Region.

This position will be based out of the company's headquarters in Kolkata.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES

The candidate should be able to:

- Provide the competitive edge by developing & institutionalizing best in class practices for retail operations;

- Contribute directly to driving growth and build a very strong team;

- This person is expected to be a charismatic leader who motivates and inspires the company's people around its strategy with a focus on developing strong processes;

The role will have the following key responsibilities:

- Profit and Loss: Managing and driving the Profit & Loss and monitoring performance by identifying cost reduction opportunities and areas of improvement.

- Retail Operations: Develop end-to-end Market level strategies both ATL and BTL

- Franchise Network

- Inventory and Product Mix Management

- Process Orientation:

- Team Management and Training

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE / QUALIFICATIONS

The ideal candidate will be a seasoned and mature general manager and sales-oriented business leader with excellent executive presence, high EQ and a proven track record of business management in an FMCG/Retail sector. Ideally engineering background with a management degree with at least 10-15 years of experience.
