Responsibilities:
- Formulates and executes competitive sales and marketing strategies that align with the company directives to achieve short- and long-term revenue growth, ensuring that goals are consistent with vision and mission.
- Directly responsible for managing the country's top line including growth in average sales price
- Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve revenue and P&L target.
- Manage the profit centre and ensure profitability of the business
- Develop sales strategies for new business conversions and increase customer base in India
- Direct implementation of the agreed sales plan for the Verticals , ensuring the relevant team delivers the results as agreed in the plan.
- Set relevant targets with distributors and continually monitor performance throughout the year.
- Identify and develop new business opportunities in the Indian market
- Manage existing customer relationships and develop new ones
- Lead the marketing team to develop effective marketing strategies
- Proactively manage employee performance by coaching and development planning
- Establish and develop people resource and implement talent management plans in conjunction with leadership.
- Drive performance through monthly and quarterly reviews of sales, financials and people processes.
- Develop and maintain a strong understanding of market trends, customer needs, and competitor activities
- Provide regular reports on sales activities and progress towards targets
- Work closely with the operations team to ensure timely delivery of products to customers
Experience and Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in engineering plus MBA from top institute
- Having minimum 15 years of sales, sales management and marketing experience.
- Experience in leading a team of managers
- Experience dealing with multiple important stakeholders both within and outside the organization.
Skills:
- Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build and maintain relationships with customers
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret market trends and customer needs
- Self-driven and motivated with a proven ability to work independently
