Business Head - Electronic Recycle/Refurbish Domain

Position : Business Head - Electronic recycle/refurbish.

- Location: Chennai

- Senior Manager Level.

- 12 to 20 Years of Experience (at least 5 years in domain).

- Engineer with MBA.

- Age : 35 to 40 yrs.

Broad Responsibility

Responsible for managing asset recovery function which includes Redeployment, Cannibalisation, Repair Purchasing, Reverse Logistics, COM Operations and drive interaction with customers and/or service representatives (Asset recovery is also used to describe the process of liquidating excess inventory refurbished items, and equipment returned at the end of a lease)

Description of tasks that need to be performed.

- Sourcing end of life, open box, factory seconds, customer return and preowned electronic products.

- Selection of repair vendors with proven experience on components

- Annual Operating Plan initiatives for Spares procurement.

- Selection of stockist with ready to ship spares and components

- Having a hold on repair/overhaul costs

- Quotation control of labour rates, piece parts and rework processes

- Providing timely transactional support of repair POs, warranty POs, and returns of defective parts inventory

- Own Customer-Owned-Material (COM) order types and coordinate functions related to repair ops and reverse logistics to ensure timely order fulfilment

- Support daily issues/escalations related to repair ops, reverse logistics and COM operations.

- Responsible for team deliverable for ensuring efficiency & effectives of the work with LAM standard of quality

- Analyses reports and metrics for deviation from plan, reconciles data variances and uses that information to guide the identification of root cause and execution of corrective action activities to deliver system capability, improvement, process redesign & implement changes

- Responsible to manage & report weekly, monthly and quarterly reports, including KPIs (Key Performance Indicators) and Operational Metrics related to core return performance, overall RAMs performance, Repair POs performance, Guaranteed Turn a round (TAT) times

- Expediting for AOG and urgent requirements

Recycle

1. Set up experience and knowledge of e-waste recycling facility.

2. Operating knowledge of types of dismantling, segregation machines & tools.

3. Having exposure to latest technology in the recycling sector.

4. Manage the production (Check, Sort, Refurbish, Dismantle and Segregate).

5. Input cost negotiation and procurement knowledge of categories E waste.

6. Have knowledge in the quality of Input Scrap and procurement.

7. Responsible for running the plant at optimum yield levels.

8. Knowledge of ISO 14001, OHSAS, R2 and other requirements of the Industry.

Refurbish

1. Annual Operating Plan initiatives for Spares procurement.

2. Selection of stockist with ready to ship spares and components.

3. Having a hold on repair/overhaul costs.

4. Selection of repair vendors with proven experience on components.

5. Understanding of L1 to L4 repair activities.

6. Quotation control of labour rates, piece parts and rework processes.

7. Own Customer-Owned-Material (COM) order types and coordinate functions related to repair ops and reverse logistics to ensure timely order fulfilment.

8. Support daily issues/escalations related to repair ops, reverse logistics and COM operations.

9. Responsible for team deliverable for ensuring efficiency & effectives of the work with LAM standard of quality.
