Business Head - EdTech

The primary purpose of this role is to develop the new business off the ground and to drive profitable growth that is in alignment with the investment objectives of Popular Group. The scope will include aspects such as:

- Develop robust business strategies and execution plans that ensure alignment with goals of different timelines (short, medium, and long-term). Progressively build clear competitive differentiation and identity for the business to be sustainable and scalable.

- Lead all operations and business activities to ensure they produce the desired results and are consistent with the business's overall strategy.

- Build and manage a high-performance team that thrives in an agile culture

1. Establish the vision for the business entity and define the overall strategy from launch to scale. The strategic direction set by the SPO will be the starting point.

2. Develop robust strategies and execute the strategic plan. This includes ownership of the investment budget provided by the SPO and managing the burn rate.

3. Leverage digital technologies most appropriately and develop a natively digital education business model.

4. Manage all operations and business activities to ensure they produce the desired results and are consistent with the overall strategy and mission. It includes the alignment of resources to achieve business goals.

5. Responsible for all the business outcome metrics about financial results (revenue, costs, profitability, and so on), customer results/quality (employability, satisfaction scores about customers, partners, and employees), and time (related to milestone achievements.)

6. Build strategic alliances that will enable the business to scale profitably.

7. Management of risk at various stages of the new business

8. Being abreast of trends in the marketplace and making strategic decisions that are aligned with the mission of the new business.

- An entrepreneurial mindset with outstanding organizational and leadership skills

- Proven experience at the senior leadership level for a minimum of 5 years in the professional education business. This should include P&L responsibilities.

- Experience in managing a team size of about forty people

- A working understanding of multiple functions as this role must manage and review all functions within the business.

- Analytical abilities and problem-solving skills

- Excellent communication and public speaking skills

- Good knowledge and orientation to digital business technology, systems and processes
