Business Head - Cold Rolling Division - Steel

We are looking for a Business Head (Cold Steel Rolling Division) for a Major Manufacturing Group that is ISO 9000 & 14000 certified with SAP / R3 systems and having a turnover of over USD 3 Billion.

This position is based at Ludhiana (Punjab) and would require extensive travelling.

The role specifications are as follows:

- Manage all tasks pertaining to Manufacturing Planning & Operations, Material Management, Procurement & Sourcing, Vendor Development, Inventory Control, Purchase & Logistics and Team Management,

- Proficiently manage Production Operations as per the defined time/ cost parameters & standards as well as develop procedures for operational excellence.

- Manage Supply Chain Management activities involving Vendor Management, Sourcing, Procurement & Material Management, Logistics, etc.

- Implement cost saving measures to achieve reduction in terms of materials, procurement, and logistics costs

- Be accountable for the P&L of the entire division

The ideal candidate would:

- Compulsorily have detailed SAP / ERP knowledge and experience,

- Ideally be a B.Tech (Mechanical\Metallurgical\Production\Electrical) and MBA from a reputed institute,

- Should have experience of more than 22 years in Large Steel\Sheet Metal Components Organization,

- Have had relevant experience and worked as a Unit / Profit centre head for atleast the last 5 years,

- Have prior experience of having dealt with the customers in various market segments like OEM, Trade, Automobile, Electrical, Cycle, White Goods etc.,

- Be conversant with Value Engineering & Value Analysis Techniques, Total Productive Maintenance, Quality tools and Overall Equipment Effectiveness,

- Be skilled in controlling logistics operations & providing suggestions for efficiency enhancement; gained exposure in maintenance of electronic devices & computer systems,

- Be an excellent team player with demonstrated interpersonal, analytical, communication, organisation, planning, co-ordination and relationship management abilities,

- Be good at Inter-departmental co-ordination with Marketing, Operations, Engineering, Production Planning & Control, Projects, Procurement, Finance and Accounts etc.
