Experience: 15+ years of experience, including at least 2-3 years of experience at BU leadership level (P&L responsibility with accountability for both sales and factory operations) in the automotive/auto component industry.
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Engineering. Post-graduation (MBA) preferred.
Position will Report to Director.
Team (14 to 15 people) will report to this position
Roles and responsibilities:
- Responsible for building a strong relationship with Auto OEMs while also overseeing and optimizing our manufacturing processes. This role requires a deep understanding of the auto OEM landscape, exceptional leadership skills, and a proven track record of successfully managing business relationships and manufacturing operations.
- Develop and execute a comprehensive business strategy to enhance and maintain strong relationships with Auto OEMs including EV business while driving business growth and increasing market share.
- Provide leadership guidance during negotiations for contracts, pricing, and other business terms with Auto OEMs, ensuring mutually beneficial agreements.
- Maintain contact at strategic levels within the Auto OEMs.
- Establish and nurture productive partnerships with key decision-makers and stakeholders in the auto OEM industry, ensuring alignment with their needs and requirements.
- Identify new business opportunities and collaborate with internal technology teams to develop innovative solutions that align with the needs of Auto OEMs.
- Stay updated with industry trends, market dynamics, and technological advancements to proactively identify potential areas for growth and improvement in both the OEM and manufacturing sectors.
- Collaborate closely with the sales and marketing teams to develop tailored strategies and initiatives that drive revenue growth and increase market share within the Auto OEM segment.
- Monitor and analyze key performance metrics, such as sales volume, market penetration, and customer satisfaction, to track progress and ensure business goals are met.
- Oversee the manufacturing operations, ensuring efficient and cost-effective production processes, quality control, and timely delivery of products.
- Oversee the implementation of best practices and continuous improvement initiatives to optimize manufacturing operations, streamline processes, and increase productivity.
- Monitor and analyze key performance metrics related to manufacturing operations, such as production output, efficiency, quality, and cost control.
- Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and trade shows to enhance visibility and build a strong network of industry contacts.
Key Competencies:
- Extensive knowledge of the auto OEM industry and the competitors, market trends, and regulatory environment.
- Demonstrated success in establishing and managing strategic partnerships with Auto OEMs, driving business growth and achieving revenue targets.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport, negotiate effectively, and influence stakeholders at all levels.
