Business Head - Category Business - FMCG

Leading the Category Business

- Providing guidance to sales, marketing, supply chain, NPD and other key personnel on a regular basis to ensure stable operations

- Driving top line and bottom line performance of business unit in line with strategy developed

- Achieving growth, profitability and operational efficiency targets set in association with Directors

- Driving business operations, resolving any issues that may arise and raising major issues with the Directors

- Responsible for representing the business unit's perspective to the directors during reviews

- Setting objectives and monitoring performance of direct and indirect reports

- Coaching and mentoring reports along with driving engagement within the team

- Manage performance of all direct reports, support capability building and ensure that individual and individual/ team morale and motivation is positive

Business Unit Management

Manage functioning of the business by way of:

Planning and Strategizing

- Leading creation of annual business plan for the business unit by gathering, reviewing and collating bottom up budget estimates from various function heads

- Specifying resources and investment required as well as projected revenue, cost and profitability

- Driving achievement of annual business plan at the BU level

Policy and Process Design, Implementation and Review

- Ensure execution of sales and marketing plans across regions integrated and aligned with strategic plans

- Review activity reports and financial statements to determine progress and status in attaining objectives and revise objectives and plans in accordance with current conditions

- Present quarterly and annual report on the performance of the Business Unit to the Directors

- Ensuring business unit's profitability and monitoring debt, revenues, capital costs, expenditure and margins

Infrastructure and Technology Investment and Management

- Take decisions on deployment of technologies and infrastructure for the Business Unit that enable measurement and tracking of key information
