Business & Financial Analyst (MBA Finance or CA Qualification) JD: Designation: Business & Financial Analyst Location: Muscat-Oman Reporting: CFO Days of working: Sunday to Thursday (5 days working) About Company: A diversified business group in Oman with 40 years of business & present in multiple countries spread across Middle East, Asia Pacific, European & African Region. Who we are looking for: - Must be a graduate with MBA (Finance) / CA Qualification only. - Total job experience to be in between 5 to 7 years only - Significant analytical skill set, including the utilisation of finance and reporting tools - Extensive experience in business valuation, capital budgeting and financial modeling projects with tools like IRR, PBV, and NPV. - Solid experience into MIS reporting, Financial Analysis, M&A, Investment Analysis & proposal. - Analyzed historical financial statements, business performance and key operating metrics of the Business Units or subjected company to be valued. - Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide strategic insights with reporting tolls - Exceptional communication and presentation skills (Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint), with the ability to interact effectively with senior executives and stakeholders. Duties & responsibilities: - Provide insights to senior management around financial modelling, forecasts and profitability. - Work with Business Unit heads to build their annual budgets and forecasts by evaluating past records. - Develop models to project long term growth and determine the impacting business factors - Delivery of competitor analysis, market trends and associated commentary to the Leadership team - Analyse financial and operational results to better understand company performance - Audit and manage accounts - Analyze current and past trends in key performance indicators including all areas of revenue, sales, expenses and capital expenditures - Monitor performance indicators, highlighting trends and analyzing causes of unexpected variance. - Oversee and manage the continued development of Budgeting, Financial Forecasting, Operating Plan and Modeling tools. - Perform valuations using techniques like (Cost driver & revenue driver identification, projection of P&L, Cash flow, Balance Sheet, Depreciation schedule, Debt schedule, Ratio Analysis, Discounted Cash Flow, Relative valuation, Comparable Analysis, Benchmarking, Sensitivity analysis) - Analyze complex financial information and reports to provide accurate and timely financial recommendations to management for decision-making purposes. - Reviewing operations and recommending new productivity or cost saving initiative - Preparing business cases to support new investment, strategic and other business decisions - Reviewing existing processes and procedures to develop recommendations for improvement efforts - Communicate results and recommendations to senior management for improvements that will lead to cost reduction, revenue generation and streamlining operations.
