Business Finance Partner - Manufacturing

Position Title: Business Finance Partner

Location: Bengaluru

Reporting Manager: Country Finance Director

Job Purpose :

The incumbent shall manage the business analysis process for assigned BU to provide management of the business unit/sector with timely financial and operational analysis and assist in business planning, decision making and implementation to facilitate sound business decisions and the achievement of corporate objectives.

Responsibilities:

 Strategic Finance :

- A key leadership role in AB Mauri India Yeast BU; bringing financial understanding to business decisions by ensuring alternatives are fully evaluated and the optimum decisions are taken.

- Work as a business partner to challenge vision and assumptions made by the Executive Team. Bring financial rigor to new ideas enabling pragmatic evaluation and review of alternatives and decisions.

- Support the GM by actively managing and identifying strategic opportunities through corporate transactions and external relationships

- Find alternative business strategies by understanding the key value drivers of the business to help ensure overall result delivery

- When required, plan and lead financial due diligence, coordinating with external advisors, balancing rigor and costs

Finance Business Partnering :

- Manage the Business Analysis function that provides management with financial advice and counsel on all pertinent business matters by supplying ongoing, timely, and meaningful financial analysis.

- To work closely with unit head in building up the unit conversion cost, waste and capital plan/forecast to be in line with its financial and business objective.

- To work closely with the Regional Procurement team and Cost Management Team to understand the trend and build up the material cost.

- To lead the review and analysis of the plan/forecast with the mill and sector management team.

- To work closely with the sector team in building up the sector cost forecast/plan.

- To explore opportunities for process improvement.

Cost Management and Financial Analysis:

- To coordinate and lead the effort of the cost management team and provide guidance to the team to ensure that cost management objective can be met

- To identify opportunities and risk for better and more effective Cost Management.

- To perform competitors analysis and inter plant benchmarking for better analysis and understanding of the cost and competition that the mill faced and to work with relevant personnel to develop plans to be in line with mill financial and business objectives.

- To highlight on a timely basis potential financial risk exposure to management and develop plans to counter them.

- To develop distribution cost recovery model to drive the logistics related performance improvement program

- To develop optimum pricing model and working capital models for the yeast and bakery Ingredients business.

- Commercial controlling and business partnering for India business

 Financial Analysis :

- To issue the Financial Flash Report on 1st work day.

- To analyze and provide explanation for major deviation from the Plan and Forecast.

- Identify any business/financial risks and opportunities in the actual results and develop action plan with the team to meet the financial objective

- To conduct a monthly mill financial review with the mill management team to ensure that financial will be in line with mill's financial and business objective

 World Class Finance:

- Identify and make recommendations that optimize business processes and improve governance

Ideal Candidate Profile:

- Proven hands-on experience in business finance is a must

- Deep understanding of green field project and M&A evaluations

- Strong analytical capabilities

- Entrepreneurial mindset

- Must have experience of overseeing business P&L

- Ability to drive profitability

- Ability to strategize and lead the business

- Ability to drive growth and transform business

- Self - motivated individual, who can work with leadership team for 5 year growth strategy

Qualification & Experience:

- Chartered Accountant or Master of Business Administration - Finance or any equivalent Post Graduation in Finance from a top ranked institute

- 8 to 12 years of experience in Commercial and Manufacturing Finance Leadership

- Experience in manufacturing industry / PE Firm, however preferably from food industry
