Description - The role reports to Finance Director/CFO. This person will be responsible for financial management of P&L's or departments including oversight of revenue recognition, financial reporting, forecasting, budgeting, process compliance and staffing.

Client Details :

An American organisation with more than 5500 plus employees across the globe. It has been in the industry for more than 50 years now and has a prominent presence in India. The average age of the employees in the Gurgaon office is about 27 years.

Description :

- Ensure compliance with local GAAP and company business processes

- Review monthly fee and expense detail; analyse monthly financial statements for accuracy and explain significant variances to budget or forecast.

- Develop annual operating budgets

- Provide senior management with monthly financial package describing results to date, forward projections compared to budget and commentary around noticeable trends

- Analyse management reports and identify and communicate areas of concern and suggested improvements to account staff and management

- Prepares staffing and revenue plans

- Overall accountability for accuracy of department's financial including client billing, pricing, operating budgets and quarterly projections

- Review and approve client budgets

- Partner with account teams in pricing client proposals, responding to RFP/I's and developing budgets (with oversight)

- Facilitate negotiation of client and vendor contracts between clients/vendors, account staff/senior management and legal department, including review of all business terms

- Ensure that projects are managed in accordance with contracts

- Ensures written client agreement is obtained (via contract, letter of agreement, signed SOW, etc.) for all work

- Negotiation and analysis of bill rates, volume discounts and other financial incentives for various clients (with oversight)

- Drive profitability by working with unit's management and account teams to improve client and resource management

- Work with local leadership to minimise risk exposure surrounding accounts receivables and credit requirements of client

- Supervise monthly billing and service order processes and analytical reviews of related reports.

- Review time and expense write-offs

- Review staff utilisation, realisation, and capacity and proactively communicate meaningful observations to GM's.

Profile :

A successful candidate should :

- CA with 8 /+ years of FIN or ACC experience

- Advanced knowledge of financial systems (Peoplesoft, SAP or any other ERP system), strong Microsoft Excel skills

- Demonstrated experience in India GAAP and internal controls Skills -

- Excellent written, oral and interpersonal communication skills

- Client service oriented and fosters positive working relationships

- Well organised with strong time management skills and attention to detail, follows through on multiple projects and juggle conflicting priorities in a fast paced environment

- Strong financial analysis and management skills; good business acumen

- Able to articulate complex financial concepts in layman's terms

- Must also take initiative and is a self starter

- Professional services industry experience is preferred

- Can effectively delegate, coach and leveraging resources to accomplish objectives

- Previous experience effectively managing a team
