JOB Responsibilities:
- Responsible for finance & accounting function, across Company's operations
- Drive the overall improvement of the financial, accounting, risk management and audit systems, processes and capabilities.
- Preparation and execution of budgeting, monitoring and forecasting process in collaboration with the CEO and the Board
- Developing and maintaining 5 year operating plan
- Developing the annual operating plan and tracking of the business viz the annual operating plan
- Enhancing and establish finance & accounting systems, processes and capabilities
- Preparation of management and regulatory reporting in time
- Development, preparation and submission of monthly MIS
- Compile key business metrics and report on them to management
- Provide a detailed report, analysis and perspective on the finance and compliance
- Exercising full cost control across personnel/ other costs and managing working capital
- Organize and lead business reviews for each line of business on a monthly basis
- Financial planning, review and monitoring of projects (revenues & costs, opex & capex)
- Forecasting of funding needs, identification funding sources & management of banking/NBFC/DFI relationships
- Managing risk, including identifying, quantifying, controlling and flagging FX, market, credit, operational and political-risks and take mitigating actions
- Develop and strengthen internal control and audit
- Monitoring of legal cases pertaining to the finance and accounting function
- Maintain a documented system of accounting policies and procedures.
- Monitor and ensure timely completion of finalization of accounts.
- Interpret the company's financial results to management/Board and recommend improvement activities
- Create additional analyses and reports as requested by management/Board
- Manage outsourced functions (if required)
- Review the performance of competitors and report on key issues to management
- Handle taxation matters (Including TDS, VAT, Service tax, etc.), work with external consultants as required Partnering with CEO to execute initiatives as required
Desired Profile:
- Qualified CA/CFA with 4-6 years of experience
- Experience in building and operating financials models
- Experience in implementing accounts and finance processes for multiple geography operations
- Extensive experience in agriculture/agri commodities in reputable organizations in a plus
- Experience in vegetable seed companies will be a plus
- Should have strong oral and written skills
