Our Client has set Sails to become a driving force for The Circular Economy within the packaging industry. A key strategic focus is to introduce new solutions for recyclable barrier coatings for paper. Consequently the mission is to:

- Analyse the barrier coatings on paper market in India in order to identify new opportunities and further develop the existing sales plan to attain leading market share by 2030.

- Drive and build the market approach to new customer categories such as Paper Mills and Paper Coaters and establish our Clients brand in this market segment.

- Additionally work with business units to improve the understanding and promote the use of barrier coated paper, within the existing customer base, facilitating the Business Units' sales development of Barrier Coatings.

RESPONSIBILITES :

Develop the sales of barrier coatings on paper by :

- Driving relationships to new market segments through direct customer contact outside of the existing sales network.

- Develop leads together with relevant Business Unit sales team to generate sales within the existing customer categories.

- Generate and develop new leads through relevant marketing activities, such as involvement in trade shows, conferences, and seminars.

- Exploit your broad technical understanding and business eagerness. You will progress ideas into potential coating and/or packaging solutions.

- Leverage industry partners and internal capabilities for rapid prototyping. You will test, validate and modify initial solution ideas and assess the respective market potential.

- Develop a comprehensive business model to monetize the solution and build business/investment proposals

- Drive the business development with the mentality of a business founder.

- Act as an ambassador within Client company to create awareness, acceptance and excitement amongst stakeholders in the business units and regions.

- Mentor the existing teams to enhance their expertise and understanding of the paper coatings market.

- Conduct market research across the packaging industry to develop a deep understanding of industry trends and pain points.

- Maintain a network of stakeholders within ourClient company and across the packaging industry as source of industry intelligence and as platform for potential collaboration.

COMMUNICATION AND KNOW HOW

Communicates:

- Internally at all management levels and across all Business Units;

- Externally with all stakeholders, including customers, suppliers and other market partners.

- Strong knowledge of paper and packaging markets, including; paper manufacturing and recycling processes; relevant barrier specifications applicable to packaging; and typical application methods of WB barrier coatings.

- Strong influencer and networker with excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to communicate and present concisely and convincingly to influencers and decision makers at potential customers and industry partners.

- Min. 3 years' experience in business development, sales or consultancy in paper processing, packaging or neighbouring industry (e.g. coatings) or in a leading strategy consultancy; with a strong understanding of product specifications and production processes.

- University degree in natural science or relevant business topics

- Combination of technical understanding with entrepreneurial thinking and sound business judgement.

- "Early adopter" - Curiosity and passion for emerging technologies.

- Strong project management skills;

- Self-motivated, result-oriented, and persistent

- Structured and focused work approach

- Ability to think conceptually and strategically about end-to-end solutions

- Pragmatic and flexible to quickly adapt to changing context

- Strong written and verbal English language skills. Additional languages are an advantage.

- Willingness to travel essential.
