Our client is an event agency based in Mumbai. The founder of this company has years of experience of working with large brands, businesses and startups on their marketing and communication challenges. He has worked across the entire spectrum of communication mediums - ATL (print, radio, television), BTL (activation, events and experiential) and Digital and Social Media marketing. Some brands that I he has worked on are JCB, Maruti Suzuki, Apollo Tyres, Whirlpool of India, AkzoNobel India, Parle Agro, Cafe Coffee Day, Godrej and others.

You will be responsible for managing, training and mentoring the Business Development team. Not just that, you will also be responsible for pitching and closing business with clients.

The responsibilities of the Business Development Manager will be as follows :

Recruit, train, mentor the BD team

Create a process for the BD function so as to have a predictable business pipeline

Open conversations, pitch and close on business with prospective clients

Listen to the needs of the market and share insights with product and marketing teams

Be proactive about solving problems even if it's outside of your area and be ready to take on additional initiatives and responsibilities as they emerge

Seek out opportunities to be a leader and do everything you can to help the company achieve its larger objectives

Develop and execute a strategic partnership plan and document and distribute competitive information

Work with management to establish critical goals, or other key performance indicators and aid the customer in achieving their goals.

Delivery of periodic (monthly/quarterly) Customer Success Reports (CSR) and lead Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs) to review and analyze statistics, metrics, and provide recommendations.

Candidate Profile:

The candidate must have 4+ years of experience in the field of Client servicing and Business Development in an Events company

Must have interacted with large clients in industries that have a large channel structure. For example: automobiles, ancillaries, white goods (consumer durables), FMCG, entertainment etc.

The candidate must have great communication skills

The candidate must be able to take quick decisions and solve problems
