We are looking for a data-driven, entrepreneurial, and professional Strategic Alliances Manager to own and drive key partnerships as a part of Amazon's Affiliate Marketing Program. This program helps content creators, publishers and bloggers monetize traffic on their websites. Affiliate partners use link-building tools to direct their audience to Amazon and earn from qualifying sales after a click-through. The incumbent in this role will be responsible for working in the Strategic Content segment in the Media Industry, leading partnerships independently, and contribute to defining strategy for this segment.
Roles and Responsibilities :
- You will lead affiliate partnerships with strategic content partners in the media industry (eg., NDTV, Times of India, Hindustan Times, etc.) as part of Amazon's Affiliate marketing program. This program helps content creators, publishers and bloggers monetize traffic on their website or app by driving purchases on Amazon. Affiliate partners use link-building tools to direct their audience to Amazon and earn from qualifying sales after a click-through.
- In this role, you will be responsible for driving traffic on Amazon through this channel and your own goals on affiliate partner onboarding (hunting) and growing affiliate sales revenue from existing partners (farming). You will use effective C-level communication skills to manage relationships and develop and execute win-win business plans that help our affiliate partners deliver sales revenue.
- The ideal candidate will have experience developing B2B relationships, preferably in digital marketing, and have a proven track record of meeting and exceeding program goals and revenue targets. The role will further require the candidate to exhibit strong analytical as well as interpersonal skills with the ability to exhibit fast and decisive decision-making while dealing with multiple stakeholders with competing objectives. Candidates must demonstrate a superior track record for execution, creative problem solving, strategic thinking, and success in all phases of account management including prospecting, acquisition, integration, scaling and retention of partners.
The right person will:
- Own annual affiliate partner onboarding and revenue growth objectives
- Identify data trends and build insights from data
- Experimenting and identifying new affiliate partners for content integration opportunities
- Identify synergistic opportunities to grow partner accounts
- Look around corners to identify evolving customer needs and serve them through partner initiatives
- Have an understanding of the content ecosystem in India and abroad
- Frugal mindset to identify growth opportunities without increasing HC or fixed-expenses
Job Specifications
Requirements :
- 5+ years of Business Development/Account Management/sales experience in offline or online retail, FMCG, consumer durables or similar industries
- Experience in building multi-year, long-term B2B partnerships
- Experience in online marketing and online content ecosystem
- MBA required
