Business Development Lead (Used Car) for an Insurance broker

Key Responsibilities / Expectations:

- Identify, evaluate and induct partnerships in the used car business through basic understanding of technology interface and in depth understanding of the used car business.

- Develop and deploy strategy to garner sales through partnerships and alliances; after economic & strategic analysis on cost benefit.

- Keeping tab on the latest updates in the industry, in-depth understanding of dealership networks and identify opportunities to partner.

- Understand the used car market and lifecycle to tap into organized as well as unorganized sales.

- Interact with key influencers in the industry to prospect insurance solution sales and be accountable for end-to-end relationship from prospecting to sales.

- Be accountable for end-to-end onboarding, incubation and management of the partnership alliance. Collaborate & influence cross functional stakeholders to achieve closures and maintain partner relations viz. finance, legal, marketing, product, tech etc.

- Understand and execute to the strategic and execution aspects of sales - planning, projections, partner development, performance tracking & enhancing, etc.

- Maintain and report to the management at regular intervals about progress of new acquisitions and enlarging of existing businesses.

To fit into the role, you must:

- Have understanding and experience in car / used car business and the working in terms of loans / insurance that are sold with the product.

- Have affinity towards networking and business development.

- Be adept at managing stakeholder relationships within and outside the organization

Qualifications & Experience :

- Graduate / Post Graduate with 8+ years of experience in business development / partnerships in car/bike insurance or used car segment.

- Relevant experience in insurance domain - digital B2C is preferred.

- Proven track record on building networks and partnerships in digital or e-commerce companies is an add-on; experience in used car business is a must.
