Business Development Director - Financial Product (Treasury Sales experience MUST)


8+ years Sales and Product Specialist experience with a strong domain knowledge of financial products and a strong interest in selling financial products and solutions. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in B2B sales, a deep understanding of the data and research industry, experience of dealing in treasury and the ability to drive revenue growth through strategic sales initiatives. As a Senior Sales Executive, you will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities and achieving individual and team sales targets.

1. Business Development:

- Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the target market to expand the company's client base.

- Conduct market research to stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and emerging opportunities.

2. Sales Strategy and Planning:

- Develop and implement effective sales strategies to achieve and exceed sales targets.

- Collaborate with the sales team and other departments to align sales initiatives with overall company goals.

3. Sales Presentations:

- Deliver compelling presentations to potential clients, showcasing the company's data and research solutions and demonstrating their value in addressing client needs.

4. Negotiation and Closing:

- Lead negotiation processes, addressing client concerns and objections to successfully close deals.

- Prepare and review contracts and agreements to ensure they align with company policies and legal requirements.

5. Sales Reporting and Analysis:

- Provide regular sales reports and analysis to the management team, highlighting key performance metrics and insights.

- Utilize CRM tools to manage and track sales activities, leads, and opportunities.

6. Collaboration and Teamwork:

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing and product development, to ensure a coordinated and effective approach to sales.

Skills and Requirements:

- 8+ years Sales experience with strong domain knowledge of financial products and market is must.

- A master's degree (MBA /CFA/FRM) is a plus.

- Understanding of treasury workflow, asset manager's workflow and dealing in treasury related solutions is a must.

- Good customer relationship with various institutions like AMC, Banks, PE, VC, Advisory, Consultants, Banks, NBFCs, Insurance etc.

- Good understanding of client workflows in above segments.

- Excellent EQ and relationship building skills, both internally and with clients.

- Results driven: Heavily focused on output, activity and individual performance.

- Resilience - knows how to stay focused and keep spirits high.

- Able to negotiate effectively with senior executives.

- Collegiate in style and know how to make the most of being part of an international team with market- leading heritage.

- Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills required.

- Prospecting and travel out of Mumbai will be a part of job.
