The Role :

- As Business Development Associate (BDA), you will have to develop a highly effective distributor system/dealer network. You will be responsible for managing distributors in a specific territory.

- The key task of the Business Development Associate is to grow the business through developing new business opportunities, maximizing business development of current product portfolio, launching new products, creating and launching programs to expand business of existing technologies, and driving competitive conversions.

- You will be mainly responsible to help and support, analyse the current distributor portfolio, create efficiency and optimize dealer network through distributor evaluation, distributor selection, segmentation, developing alliances, or by supporting the creation of a direct sales network, as appropriate.

- You will lead the full sales process from identifying to securing new accounts in order to drive revenues. You will have to visit dealers to promote confidence and goodwill, and to explain advantages of company services and negotiate to win business.

- Your role will also include discussing and resolving mutual problems with clients/customers.

Duties & Responsibilities :

- Develop and execute comprehensive strategic plan for each distributor to increase revenue and secure new business opportunities.

- Expand business within existing distribution partners through maximizing current product portfolio, exploring and developing new markets and customers for existing technology, and launching new products.

- Educate customers on products, concepts, & industry trends to increase product usage.

- Keep abreast of market data and competitors' activities regarding pricing, product, and performance.

- Resolve customer complaints and analyse customer needs by investigating problems, developing solutions, making recommendations and interacting with company support functions.

- Develop a multi-level relationship within distribution partners and expand this relationship development to include key end-user customers.

- Ensuring sales force (distributors or direct sales forces) are effectively staffed and trained.

- Ensure customer records are accurately maintained including such information as customer sales and company assets (equipment).

- Along with a business development function you will be responsible for providing application support which includes: the organization of demos and presentations at the customer site, maintain strong after sales cooperation with end use customers and work as link where required between the distribution sales force and the distribution technical service team.

- Coordinate and deliver applications & product training and support to distributors and/or end-user customers.

- Work closely with manager to identify and develop execution plans to capture new and competitive business.

- Develop in conjunction with manager a trial and evaluation pipeline for existing products, competitive customers, and new products.

- Communicate on a regular basis with ELA Marketing staff (Product Managers, Clinical and Training departments) to stay abreast of industry, product and training trends.

Supervisory Responsibilities :

- Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.

- Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, training and developing employees; planning, assigning and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Education, Knowledge & Experience :

- Bachelor's Degree in life sciences or similar education level, or equivalent proven experience is required.

- You are required to have 4-5 years of proven field sales experience in healthcare industries with multi-national companies in India. 1 year experience in working with distributors is required.

- You must be proficient in English Language-both written and verbal. You must also have strong verbal and listening skills.

- You must have outstanding ability to build and maintain strong customer relationships. You must also have effective negotiation skills.

- Ambitious, entrepreneurial by nature, self-motivated, focused on - adding value- are just a few qualities that this person must have.

- You must have demonstrated ability to manage a territory and execute account management plan.

- Flexibility is required as the travel expectation for the role is 75%.
