Business Analytics Lead

Job Role:

- Identifying and prioritizing business use cases: Work with business heads/product heads to identify and prioritize business problems which can be solved through data analytics. The individual should have knowledge of Asset Lending.

- Opportunities identification: Increase the pre-approved/pre-qualified base by mining internal bank customers. Optimise the acquisition funnel/waterfall.

- Building the customer analytics engine: Lead a team of business analytics, who have knowledge of SQL/SAS &/or R/Python and can draw insights from banking transactions, product usage etc. and build deep customer insights. Experience of having built credit/propensity/classification models individually or jointly with the data science team. Parametrise lending rules.

- Guiding the data scientist: Liaise with data scientist to build predictive or classification models or advanced text mining solutions based on the problem statement

- Business Understanding and Stakeholder Management: Deep understanding of lending practices. Drive implementation of analytics solutions jointly with business owners.

- Strong Analytical Skills: Expertise in using statistical tools SAS/R/Python. Ability to generate business insights from data

- Engagement with Alternate data/vendors: Ability to work with alternate data vendors to develop models for acquisition or data mining or exploring newer opportunities to identify alerts/triggers/early warning signals.

Job Requirements:

- Education Background: M.Sc. (Stat)/M.Tech Data Science/MBA/ CA Specialization from Tier I or Tier II institutes. Relevant experience of atleast 10+ years of analytics in the lending space

- Project-management skills - The individual should be able to direct an analytics initiative from ideation through POC and final implementation

- An entrepreneurial spirit - You should have the enthusiasm, commitment and business savviness to drive the implementation of solutions

- Team Management: Ability to lead and motivate a team of skilled business analytics/data scientists

- Candidate must have excellent organizational skills, be level-headed, have good interpersonal skills

- Individuals with competency in advance analytics

- Highly logical individuals with appreciation of emerging analytical and marketing technologies

- Strong communication skills to effective interaction with business stakeholders
