Bachelor's Degree in IT/CS, Information Systems, or related field

Minimum 4 years of experience as a Business Analyst in US healthcare domain

FHIR Certified and knowledge on HAPI FHIR, SmileCDR (Preferred)

Knowledge on advanced SQL (Must)

Excellent planning, communication, documentation, analytical, and problem solving abilities.

Role and Responsibilities:

- Work with client partners, DEV/QA leads, architects, managers, and other team members to understand the project scope/objective, and drive quality business solutions.

- Create and maintain deliverables such as FHIR resource mapping specifications document, SQL document, Use case document, and Inbound/Outbound reference guide.

- Translate high-level business needs into detailed requirements for new capabilities (and change request/enhancements on existing capabilities).

- Responsible for creating features/stories/use cases, and tracking all the deliverables in RTC, RequisitePro and Clearquest.

- Verify data for the enterprise by conducting end-to-end analysis, including validating and comparing data from various sources.

- Confirm the accuracy of new data sources used by the entities of the enterprise. This includes all aspects of the process from testing of source data to the interconnections of this data to internal sources.

- Schedule grooming sessions with PO, DEV and QA team to go through the detail level requirements pertaining to FHIR mapping specifications and codeset crosswalk.

- Schedule KT sessions with production support team to give a detailed walkthrough on the requirements that is going in prod for the current release.

- Responsible for reviewing the test cases, and master test strategy plan.

- Ensure compliance for required standards and all necessary approvals have been obtained throughout the project lifecycle.

Requirements:

Must Have:

- The candidate should possess minimum 4 years of experience as a Business Analyst in US healthcare -domain

- Should have experience in writing and managing requirements for data transformation/ data conversion projects and experience using structured data such as HL7, FHIR, XML, JSON and experience mapping documents from one format to another.

- The candidate must be familiar with FHIR domains and mapping business processes or Health Care domains to FHIR resource (preferred certified FHIR specialists)

- Excellent documentation skills, including workflow documentation and diagrams is a must.

- Familiar with various hospital information system (HIS) and major clinical systems such as lab, pharmacy, radiology, cardiology, emergency department, operation room systems and EMR applications

- Proven ability to effectively manage multiple activities of varying complexity while under time constraints

Good to Have:

Experience with other health care standards such as HL7 and CCDA is preferred.

Familiar with market ready FHIR based products like SmileCDR/ HAPI FHIR and should possess knowledge on production implementation based on FHIR is preferred.

SQL query experience is must.
