Business Analyst - SQL/Python

Job description

- Own the design, development, and maintenance of ongoing metrics, reports, analyses, dashboards on the key drivers of our business

- Partner with operations/business teams to consult, develop and implement KPIs, automated reporting/process solutions and data infrastructure improvements to meet business needs

- Enable effective decision making by retrieving and aggregating data from multiple sources and compiling it into a digestible and actionable format

- Prepare and deliver business reviews to the senior management team regarding progress and roadblocks

- Analyze historical and customer segmentation data to identify trends and insights

- Design, develop and maintain scaled, automated, user-friendly systems, reports, dashboards, etc. that will support our business needs.

- Strong verbal/written communication and data presentation skills, including an ability to effectively communicate with both business and technical teams.

Desired Skills Basic Qualifications

- MBA / B.Tech / B.E in Business, Computer Science, Finance or related field

- 3+ years of relevant work experience in a role requiring application of analytic skills to integrate in a business analyst, data analyst or statistical analysis role

- 3+ years experience in: 

- Creating complex Excel VBA macros

- Creating complex SQL Queries joining multiple datasets

- Using Python / R for data analysis

- Data Visualization tools such as Quick Sight / Tableau / Power BI

- Advanced ability to draw insights from data and clearly communicate them to the stakeholders and senior management as required.

- Be self-driven, and show ability to deliver on ambiguous projects with incomplete data.

- An ability and interest in working in a fast-paced, ambiguous and rapidly-changing environment.

Preferred Qualifications: 

- 5+ years of relevant experience in a business analyst, data analyst or statistical analysis role

- Advanced technical or business degree

- 5+ years experience in developing requirements and formulating business metrics for reporting, familiarity with data visualization tools, e.g. Tableau, Power BI
