Business Analyst - Investment Banking/Financial Services. We are hiring Business Analyst/Senior Business Analyst for our Financial Services client based at Bangalore and Pune. Job Summary : - The Business Analysis function plays a key role during the onset of a project or program by helping define scope and create requirements working closely with business partners to understand and translate needs. This role serves as a contact for IT during the design, development, and testing phase. Functional expertise is required. - The Senior Business Analyst is responsible for an end-to-end process analysis and design with an understanding of technical and operating challenges and solutions as they relate to the current and future business environment. Role creates process change by integrating new processes with existing ones and communicating these changes. Responsible for working on single large scale projects, multiple mid-sized projects or a work stream of programs. Expectation is to work independently. Education & Key Responsibilities: - Bachelor's or Master's degree with emphasis in Finance and Accounting, CA/CPA/CMA/CFA is an added advantage. - Experience in NAV, Mutual Funds, Hedge Funds or Financial Services domain strongly preferred. - Minimum 9+ years of work experience in financial industry and 7+ years as BA. - Business Analysis certification/diploma/degree. - Gathers, analyzes, and builds business requirements for a business outcome for a value stream. - Problem statement definition. - Carries out activities that are large in scope, sometimes cross-functional and technically difficult. - Analyze and document data flows and mappings to FA native formats. - Documents the requirements that are consistent with organisation Agile standards. - Reviews and approves work performed by BA. - Asks the right questions, challenge the norm to ensure requirements are understood. - As subject area expert, provides comprehensive, in-depth consulting and leadership to team and partners at a high technical level. - Operates independently and has in-depth knowledge of business unit, specific area of expertise and strong knowledge in other areas. - Strategic in developing, implementing and administering programs within functional areas. - Working independently provides expertise and analysis on strategic transformational initiatives to the stakeholders. - Interpret, evaluate and interrelate research data and develop integrated business analyses and projections for incorporation into strategic decision-making. - Role is balanced between high level operational execution and development, and execution of strategic direction of business function activities. - Responsible for direct interaction with different committees and/or management.
