Business Analyst - Sales Analytics - Agriculture Industry - IIM/ISB/MDI/FMS

We have an opening with a leading company in the agriculture industry.

Role : Business Analyst

Job Description :

- Sales Support & Data Analytics, Forecasting & Demand Planning

- Formulating business intelligence information and submitting it to the top management to facilitate strategic sales decision-making.

- Scrape sales data from different websites and mine data hosted in different formats (xlx, JSON, HTML, image formats, etc) and combine them with other data in databases (Access, xls, Oracle, SAP, intranet website, etc)

- Understand various data structures and use applicable data extraction and transformation method to put the data in a clean or consistent format

- Aggregate data and consolidate in a suitable platform environment to analyze and process it.

- Develop and use query languages to extract, process and collate data.

- Generate statistical or machine learning models based on decision scope and direction and communicate results, trends, insights to the project team.

- Make the model compatible to be incorporated into the larger decision model or UI, platform with different sales data.

Educational Qualification sand Key skills :

- MBA (Top ranking Institute preferred)

- Minimum 2 years of experience in data analysis

- Using query languages NOSQL tools like Hadoop, hive, pig, spark, HBase, mbase, MongoDB, Cassandra, Flink.

- Coding in any of these languages i.e. R, Python, and Scala, S-plus, SAS, STATA.

- In data mining, unstructured data analytics, regression, classification, clustering.

- In generating models such as statistical models, machine learning models, Reliability models, Markov Models, Stochastic models, Bayesian Modeling, Classification Models, Cluster Analysis, Neural Network, Non-parametric Methods, Multivariate Statistics

- In using Visualization tools RShiny, Qlickview, Tableau, etc
