Business Analyst - Product Control

We have an urgent opportunity with our client in Pune.

Description

The position reports into the IT Business Partner Manager (Client Account Manager) with a functional reporting line into other Project Managers in this area servicing the Basel Measurement and Reporting (BMR) & Financial Accounting (FA) business lines:

- Work with the user community to identify requirements for new systems and enhancements to existing functionality in the Regulatory systems. Experience with Basel Regulations is preferred.

- Act as a liaison between the technical and the business teams to streamline conversion of business requirements to functional specifications and eventually aid development.

- SQL knowledge to run queries against databases for data analysis (Ideally should have been in a development role for 2-3 years in his/her career).

- Analyze and leverage the data to provide input for various Compliance and Regulatory systems.

- Perform Impact analysis/Regression testing of the changes done in the existing system.

- Work with offshore teams and co-ordinate development and testing.

Qualifications

Essential

- Bachelors Degree or MBA

- With 2 to 4 years of work experience

WORK EXPERIENCE/BACKGROUND:

Desirable:

- Regulatory Reporting Experience

- Financial Industry background

TECHINICAL/BUSINESS SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE:

Essential:

- Strong SQL knowledge

- Good understanding of Financial Product's

Desirable:

- Financial Accounting Knowledge

- Basel Regulation Experience

- Java

- JavaScript

- HTML

- OBIEE

- BO
