Business Analyst - MIFID II/Brexit/Volcker - BFS

Designation - Senior Business Analyst ( Regulatory reporting)

Location: Bengaluru.

Skills: Incumbent should have working experience with either MIFID II or Volcker or Brexit (mandate)

Principal Accountability:

1. Impact on the Business:

- Understand the Brexit and its regulatory impacts on the business, formalize the requirements using a standardized Business Requirements Document

- Act as Lead Regulatory change for Brexit with the responsibility of identifying impact on Equities activities, products, controls and processes

- Intended to be an analysis and support role covering a different regulation.

- Understand impact of upcoming and existing regulations on the commercial model of the business. Support business management team in designing and validating change strategies

- Support change implementation engagement with programme teams from a Front Office (FO) perspective, definition of business and functional requirements and on-going interaction with implementation teams

- Support the FO control and supervisory teams in updating DIMs and procedures to comply with various regulatory requirements

- Contribute to various regulatory governances

- Interaction with key Markets support Functions including Operations, Compliance, Finance and Product Control, and Technology with regards to Management Office governance forums and associated information gathering

- Support the FO Supervision and Controls related governance, monitoring & embedding the operational Risk Framework, driving effective thematic business specific controls

- Periodic review and update of instruction and procedural manuals

- Support the Head of Business and Global COO in Equities / GM initiatives & managing ad-hoc requests

2. Customers / Stakeholders:

- Equities Business Management, COO Community, Desk Heads and other key Front Office resources Globally

- Equities Global support functions including Operations, Compliance, Finance and Product Control, and Technology

- Head of Markets, Bangalore

3. Leadership & Teamwork:

- Responsible for ensuring seamless communication and teamwork between COO Function resources in Onshore locations and counterpart resources in Bangalore

- Builds strong relationships with counterpart resources in Onshore locations

- Must be able to take own initiative, be flexible and a self-starter

4. Operational Effectiveness & Control

- Lead the continuing development, implementation and improvement of the processes, structures, capabilities, capacity and infrastructure needed to deliver Management Office Business Management responsibilities

- Establish and maintain a robust and efficient control environment across the Markets Management Office. together with early identification and effective resolution or escalation of issues that arise

- Lead the development, implementation and maintenance of management information, analysis and reporting framework that supports and informs timely and effective business management and decision making at all levels
