Market Data Business Analyst

We have the opening with one of the investment bank for the role of Market Data-Business Analyst in Bangalore location.

Responsibilities include:

Business Relationship Management - maintain a strong relationship with the customer, understanding their business, focus, and requirement and providing the optimum solution.

Service Provision - ensure services are delivered in a timely fashion following the global processes in place for end to end delivery eg/ DACS, MDM

Cost Management - ensure the business is kept aware of their market data usage/cost to ascertain potential cost saving opportunities, through evaluation of unused services, through effective negotiation with vendors or through consolidation and sharing.

Vendor Management - working within the agreed operating model together with the global vendor management team, ensuring all market data contracts are negotiated, renewed or canceled through the detailed analysis of usage, requirement and contract value. Ensure all signed contracts are updated in MDM.

Administration - working closely with the Market Data Processing team in India, assume responsibility for the monthly allocation of market data costs ensuring accuracy and transparency and for the integrity of the Market Data held within MDM.

Projects - ownership for the delivery of market data projects, including product updates, vendor product rollouts, cost savings initiatives and various ad-hoc projects.

Control - manage data use from a compliance perspective ensuring all contractual obligations and licenses are adhered to and communicated to the business with effective operational control processes in place.

Knowledge & Experience / Qualifications:

- Extensive knowledge of Market Data products and ideally MDM

- Broad understanding of data licensing requirements for financial services activities

- Highly motivated to develop specialist knowledge and expertise in all relevant areas

- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills and the ability to work in line with wider strategies

- Excellent communications skills both written and verbal for discussions and communication at all levels

- Good understanding of the commercial terms and conditions of the major market data vendors

- Substantial Market Data Analyst experience
