Responsibilities:

- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business objectives, requirements, and challenges within the maritime industry.

- Conduct in-depth analysis of maritime business processes, systems, and data to identify opportunities for improvement and optimization.

- Use data analysis tools and techniques to extract, transform, and analyze maritime data from various sources, including shipping routes, vessel performance, cargo volumes, and financial data.

- Create detailed business requirement documents, user stories, and functional specifications to support the development of new maritime solutions or enhancements to existing systems.

- Identify key performance indicators (KPIs) and develop dashboards and reports to track and measure the performance of maritime operations and business strategies.

- Conduct periodic data quality assessments to ensure the accuracy, completeness, and reliability of maritime data.

- Support end-users with training and documentation to successfully adopt new processes and tools.

Requirements:

- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Maritime Studies, or a related field.

- A relevant Master's degree is a plus.

- Proven experience as a Business Analyst in the maritime or shipping industry, with a deep understanding of maritime operations, logistics, and relevant industry terminology.

- Strong analytical skills and the ability to translate complex maritime data into meaningful insights and actionable recommendations.

- Proficiency in data analysis tools and techniques, with experience using data visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or similar.

- Familiarity with data querying languages and tools (e.g., SQL) to extract and manipulate data from databases.

- Knowledge of maritime regulations, compliance requirements, and industry standards.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.

- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills to handle multiple projects and deadlines.

- Problem-solving mindset with a proactive approach to identifying issues and proposing innovative solutions.

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced and evolving maritime environment.

- Fluency in English, both written and spoken. Additional languages are a plus.
