Business Analyst - Indirect Tax Domain - Commodity Trading Firm

About the client

Our client is one of the leading commodity trading company operating across the globe. The client has offices in over 30 countries and has achieved substantial growth over the recent years.

Role

Your main responsibilities will be to:

- Develop and maintain working relationships with business stakeholders

- Responsible for clearly articulating target business processes and the business requirements and functional design to enable change (particularly for the indirect tax).

- Prepare the requirement documents - BRDs and FSDs (particularly for the indirect tax) .

- Work with the functional architecture team to determine the design of a solution, including screen design & usability to optimise business processes

- Collaborate with cross functional teams in process (e.g. Invoicing, Logistics, Trade Capture, Settlement etc.) that impact Indirect Tax to ensure integrated design.

- Work with reporting teams (e.g. Business objects / Qlikview) for delivering indirect tax reporting solutions.

- Detail story elaboration to enable the system development

Successful applicant

As a successful applicant, you must have:

- 7+ years- experience of business analysis in a middle office specifically invoicing Extensive knowledge and experience in some or all of the following areas:

- Commodity trading

- Trade Management

- Invoicing

- Indirect Tax (e.g. Sales/Use Tax, VAT, GST/HST/PST/QST) (must have)

- Physical Valuations

- Accounting and settlement

- Good understanding of global Indirect Tax compliance/laws for trading business.

- Experience of creating and maintaining indirect tax process, business requirements, functional design and reports.

- Experience in implementation/roll out of indirect tax solution across multiple geographies.

- Experience of a variety of software development methodologies

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
