Business Analyst (Manager) - Hyperion Essbase / Cognos / Preview for an MNC in Pune.

Overview :

- Ability to conduct data analysis of source systems, understand metric definitions, gather reporting / analysis requirements from power users to produce quality business requirements / metrics documentation.

- Ability to conduct data analysis of source systems, understand metric definitions, gather reporting / analysis requirements from power users to produce quality business requirements / metrics documentation

- Participate in data governance forums to standardize business data definitions, metric calculations, golden source identification, standard & reference data agreements, data quality, data change management procedures

- Working knowledge of SQL to access and analyze data, data warehousing concepts, query & reporting tools in a user capacity (e.g. Brio, BO, Cognos), accessing data cubes (e.g. Essbase).

Experience & Skills :

- Experience of 10-15 years as a with 6 years atleast as a business analyst for management reporting / business intelligence solutions using Hyperion / Cognos / Preview in a large organization.

- Ability to conduct data analysis of source systems, understand metric definitions, gather reporting / analysis requirements from power users to produce quality business requirements / metrics documentation

- Participate in data governance forums to standardize business data definitions, metric calculations, golden source identification, standard & reference data agreements, data quality, data change management procedures

- Working knowledge of SQL to access and analyze data, data warehousing concepts, query & reporting tools in a user capacity (e.g. Brio, BO, Cognos), accessing data cubes (e.g. Essbase)

- Is passionate about working on data analysis solutions which offer business insights

- Possesses excellent spoken and written communication skills, is a good team player

- Collaborates effectively with US based teams including attending late evening calls at times (up to 10:30 pm IST)

- Exposure to financial analysis & reporting (though not mandatory) will be an advantage.
