Job Description - Assist the Controller in developing and implementing reporting policies, programs, and systems to control the company's financial assets and provide complete and accurate financial information and records. The key focus will be the management of the business's forecasting and budget process to ensure timely and accurate updates based on the changes in the business.

Client Details

Our client is a US MNC in physical commodities trading. It is a global integrated midstream and downstream oil company and is present in over 50 countries. They are now looking for a strategic individual to be a part of their financial planning team.

Description

1. Ensure reporting compliance with all group deadlines on a weekly, monthly and annual basis. As part of this process develop, analyze and interpret statistical and accounting information, and appraise profitability and performance against budget. At all times ensure that the team maintains a high standard of reporting in line with group policies and procedures.

2. Responsible for monthly forecasting and annual budgets.

3. Maintain detailed financial planning models (Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet & Cash flow) to provide an updated monthly forecast and budget view based on actual results achieved and the view of the business moving forward. Review the existing Forecast & Budget process and develop a more effective financial planning tool to allow more efficient update of changes. Review Adaptive as a tool to manage this process.

4. Key Co-ordinator of the annual budgeting process ensuring all information is received by the due date and all queries are addressed in a timely manner. Ensure budget is correctly uploaded in HFM and all movements from actual are supported.

5. Review and management of the corporate tax process ensuring internal and external reporting requirements are met


- Assist with the statutory company and group financial statement preparation.

6. Provide necessary training to staff in areas of HFM/Qlikview and other reporting tools.

7. Ensure all GL accounts are maintained in line with global standards and that they are correctly mapped for loading into the reporting system.

Profile

As the successful candidate, you are a qualified Chartered Accountant (maximum of three attempts) with 4+ years of post qualification experience in financial planning and analysis/business controlling. You have experience in multi-national companies and have strong financial, technical and analytical skills.
