Business Analyst - ETL/SQL - General Insurance Firm

Our client is looking for a Business Analyst candidate who has hands-on experience in working with Finance systems. Someone with expertise in ETL Principles and databases like SQL, RDBMS, and JIRA is the ideal fit for the job. Experience into Insurance or Finance domain is mandatory.

Location : Gurgaon

Responsibilities:

- Participate in requirements gathering sessions with business and/or technical experts and translate them into functional specifications.

- Collaborate with senior business analysts in working sessions to solve data flow improvements or updates.

- Support a cross-functional team to document end-to-end solutions that meet the business requirements.

- Participate in the preparation of design documents for executives and IT experts that focus on how the data will flow and be transformed throughout the finance ecosystem.

- Track progress, list work to be done and meet timelines.

Requirements:

- 3 years of relevant experience in a business analyst role for a finance team and/or financial systems.

- Basic knowledge of financial, IT, database systems and technologies (Data Warehouses, SQL, SAS, ERP systems like Oracle, SAP, etc.).

- Understanding of ETL principles, data elements, data structures, and data modeling is considered an asset. Proficiency in the use of Office 365, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio.

- Knowledge of Jira, an ETL tool, and an RDBMS (e.g. Toad, MS SQL server) is considered an asset.
