Business Analyst_AVP - Market Risk Responsibilities : 1. Business analysis 1. Develop the key artefacts required under either Waterfall or Agile methodology (including high-level business requirements, solution design, functional and non-functional requirements), to a clear and unambiguous standard, as a solid foundation for implementation by Software Delivery (SWD). 2. Promote visibility, understanding and approval of the requirements with all regional stakeholders at all stages of initiation and definition; obtain sign-offs 3. Liaise with Software Delivery in the Functional Requirements Specification, production and subsequent software development 4. Ensure that the integrity of the risk systems is maintained by supporting strategic requirements 5. Should be able to support at least first half of US day time hours 6. Should be able to support both Counterparty Market Risk & Market Risk projects as well 2. Project management 1. Support the Project Manager to: 1. Run working groups with key stakeholders; 2. Track progress against project plan 3. Develop the test strategy 4. Provide regular status updates 5. Escalate risks, issues and dependencies impacting the project 3. Testing 1. Develop the test strategy in conjunction with IT and business stakeholders 2. Liaise with SWD to provide ST and SIT test plans, arrange test environments and testing support. 3. Liaise with users to confirm test requirements and ensure suitable UAT test plans are constructed. 4. Perform sanity checks that the requirements are satisfied 5. Ensure all testing is conducted in an orderly and efficient way. 4. Stakeholder engagement 1. Constructive engagement with key stakeholders i.e. risk management, risk control, WMRT transformation component PMs/ BAs, Software delivery teams, FO Project team, design architects 5. Status reporting 1. Provide periodic status updates regarding project status, test completion status, RAID Log, in the tools and templates selected by the wider SWD and Transformation team 6. Be able to work in both Waterfall and Agile methodologies 7. Be aware of the Operational Risk scenario associated with your role and act in a manner that takes account of operational risk considerations. Qualifications : - Very strong understanding of Market risk measures, and knowledge of Market Risk measures - Strong business analysis experience in a Market risk context, in investment banking - Educated to at least degree level, Additional qualifications in Risk would be useful - Additional qualifications in business analysis would be useful - Previous experience working closely with software development - Some previous experience working closely across multiple regions Desired : - Some exposure to Market risk reporting platforms and to risk engines - Some previous experience of the aggregation of very large volumes of Market risk measures across multiple dimensions - Some previous experience of OLAP/cube technology very desirable
