Business Analyst - Analytics/Data - eCommerce/Hi-Tech/Retail

Business Analyst

- We are looking for a leader to manage multiple teams (involved in executing technical and non-technical operations and data oriented analysis) and own overall planning and delivery of services to support multiple programs for the Selection expansion team.

- The person will be expected to be skilled in understanding customer needs, setting and managing expectations, building customer confidence through effective communication, reliable delivery, robust processes, and sound reporting metrics.

- The person will also be responsible for driving cost reduction (through process standardization and automation), quality improvements (by adopting appropriate audit and measurement mechanisms), and business impact across programs through policy changes and improvements in data quality and service delivery.

- The individual will also be a point of escalation for multiple teams and would report to the head of Services team for Selection Expansion.

- The individual will draw upon solid critical thinking, and problem solving skills and is expected to have strong business judgement and organizational skills.

- The person should be comfortable working with business leaders at all levels, including senior management.

A successful candidate will have a developed skill set in the following areas :

- Demonstrate skills in understanding customer needs and priorities to carry out operational planning and to set and manage expectations with a diverse set of business stakeholders and senior management.

- Prior experience in business data analysis which cuts across customer needs, operational processes & metrics to identify improvement areas through process changes in operations and by roll-out of new software features.

- Demonstrate business acumen and skills in driving change by developing business proposals and driving implementation of recommendations through effective written and oral communication. This would also require well developed skills in influencing leaders of software development teams as well as other business leaders.

- Experience in driving operations through end to end planning, managing operations through metrics review and root cause analysis, and delivering results in a fast paced environment.

- Good judgement in hiring and developing talent across levels and well developed skill set in managing multiple work streams. Leadership skills supporting a culture of Ownership, Staying connected with details, Bias for action and Delivering results.

- Prior experience in managing people managers or experienced individual contributors (e.g. software engineers, analysts, management consultants). Should be skilled at formulating, tracking, and implementing career development plans.

Basic Qualifications :

- MBA (or equivalent Master's degree) with at least 8+ years of experience in managing data oriented operations with a minimum of 3 years of experience in interacting with global customers / stakeholders.

- Ability to think both strategically and tactically and to drive execution. Should be equally comfortable with long term planning and day to day execution against goals and customer commitments.

- Strong process/project management, prioritization, and multi-tasking capabilities.

Preferred Qualifications :

- Background in analytics /data oriented environment involving analysis of large volume of data to drive analysis and to make decisions.

- Experience in eCommerce/Hi-tech/Retail industry or management consulting with focus on one of these industries would be an added advantage.
