Responsibilities : - Work with product owners to understand desired application capabilities and testing scenarios - Provide inputs on high-level business needs and priorities - Discuss challenges in existing EDW/BI and analytics environment and share hurdles, challenges from business departments towards informed decision making - Share inputs to validate, refine, prioritize and finalize the Business Requirements Document - Validation of high-level expectations, data/information needs, analytical needs, pain areas - Validate the challenges currently faced in fulfilling information needs for decision making - Validate the pain points from the data/information perspective - Describe the key potential information outputs from the solution, envisioning its business benefits and key result areas - Prioritize the information needs and analytical needs of the business - Prioritize on the Value Creation Opportunities - Review and refine the business need prioritization, solution, project initiatives and roadmap - Review the proposed solution architecture alternatives Required Skills: - Source system analysis and source-target mapping - Brings in functional expertise - Communicates and clarifies reporting/ analysis requirements to the development team - Perform data profiling and create a draft report - Identify pain points and challenges in the current environment - Assist the data architect with technical analysis to aid in the creation of strategy/ work-around and roadmap - Draft the risks involved along with mitigation strategy - Strong understanding of project life cycle and SDLC methodologies including RUP, RAD, Waterfall, and Agile. - Understanding the specifications for Data Warehouse ETL Processes and interacting with the data leads and the end users for informational requirements. - Ability to gather business and technical requirements from both formal and informal sessions utilizing a variety of software tools including, Use Cases and the Rational Unified Process. - Proficient in discussing and defining the project, Gap Analysis with the clients from both a business and technical perspective - Proficient in developing Use Case Model, Analysis Model, Design Model, Implementation Model, Use Case Diagrams, Behavior Diagrams (Sequence diagrams, Collaboration diagrams, Statechart diagrams, Activity diagrams
