PURPOSE:

- To co-ordinate closely with the Central Exchange Layer functional team and possibly other BA teams to understand system functionalities and interface requirements

- To develop detailed functional specifications, based on business requirements / high level specifications developed centrally

- To co-ordinate closely with Exchange Layer IT team in Mumbai to ensure understanding of functional specifications by IT teams and provide functional support, follow-up development plan, monitor change requests

- To understand testing requirements (test plan & test cases being prepared by other teams) and participate in the testing phases (integration, regression…)

- To gather Test Data from various sources

- To execute the Test Cases, compare results against specifications and record results.

- To plan, track and report progress of Test phase

- To provide functional support during migration, go-live and post go-live (bug fixing)

MANDATORY SKILLS

1 Professional background in Finance vertical with a good understanding of financial terms, Accounting System processes, instruments and transactions.

2 Ability to analyse business requirements and develop functional specifications

3 Good understanding of testing principles and practices (Test Plan, Test Case development, test execution, test progress tracking and status reporting)

4 Ability to communicate effectively with IT teams as well as Business Teams

5 Familiarity with IT systems / databases

6 Ability to work within tight deadlines

7 Good communication (written & verbal English) skills

8 Ability to work independently and as part of a team

PREFERRED SKILLS

1 Experience with Enterprise Data Integration solutions

2 Experience in working in Onsite-Offshore environment

AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY / CRITICAL TASKS:

1. UNDERSTAND BUSINESS & SYSTEM FUNCTIONS

- Interact with functional and technical representatives of project teams in order to understand business functionalities, technical modules, integration mechanism and data sources.

2. DEVELOP FUNCTIONAL SPECIFICATIONS

- Based on business requirements and functional specifications provided by central teams, develop detailed functional specifications.

3. ANALYZE TEST REQUIREMENTS

- Understand the business functions and scope of test (Functionality, Integration, Regression, etc.), external interfaces and test data.

4. TEST PLANNING AND EXECUTION

- Contribute to test plan. Map the Test Cases to Functional Specifications and gather Test Data from various sources. Execute the Test Plan, analyse and record results and report status.

5. DOCUMENTATION MANAGEMENT

- Control and oversee timely preparation, update and upkeep of all documents necessary to be maintained within the project cycle.

6. TRAINING

- Train others (wherever required) in order to ensure knowledge sharing and backup.

7. COMPLIANCE

- To ensure all activities carried-out and solutions proposed, planned and delivered are compliant with policy guidelines specified by the organization.

8. TRAVEL

- Should be open to travel to onsite.
