Burman Family Holdings - Fund Management/Financial Controller - CA

Role Description :

The current opportunity is for the position of a Financial Controller in a growing fund management set-up. Detailed description of the role and responsibilities follow :

Key responsibilities :

- Assist in executing prospective fund structures including offshore fund, AIF, among others

- Preparation, analysis & control of fund accounting and other fund specific functions

- Liaison with third-party partners such as custodians, bankers, brokers, among others

- Verify all reports generated by third-party partner including monthly, quarterly and annual client-level, strategy-level and AMC-level reports - also maintain parallel book to minimize errors

- Manage firm-level accounts

- Manage tax and audit related activities

- Ensuring effective financial systems and processes

- Ensure timely and systematic execution of trades in compliance with various stipulated laws and regulations

- Build relationships with auditors, tax advisors, and other relevant service providers

Requirements :

- Qualified CA

- Overall experience of 5-10 years including experience in fund accounting and similar activities

- Experience of setting-up an offshore fund preferred

- Excellent analytical skills

- Ability to work effectively and cooperatively as a team member

- Ability to work under tight timelines
