Job Summary:
Company is seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join its rapidly growing B2B business as AVP-Finance. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing all financial functions, including accounting controllership, financial planning and analysis (FP&A), business finance, treasury management, finance support for expansion and collaborate with CEO in fund-raising activities. This is a critical leadership role that will contribute to the overall strategic direction, financial health, and expansion of the company.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage all aspects of the company's finance function, ensuring accurate financial reporting, compliance with accounting standards, and timely completion of financial statements.
- Oversee the accounting controllership function, including general ledger management, financial statement preparation, month-end and year-end closing activities, and internal controls.
- Drive financial planning and analysis (FP&A) activities, including budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and providing strategic insights to support decision-making.
- Manage business finance operations, including financial modeling, pricing strategies, profitability analysis, and evaluation of business investment opportunities.
- Collaborate with the CEO in fund-raising activities, including preparing financial projections, investor presentations, and supporting due diligence processes.
- Develop and implement robust treasury management strategies, including cash flow forecasting, working capital optimization & risk management.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, tax obligations, and statutory reporting.
- Lead, mentor, and develop the finance team, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, regulatory changes, and best practices in finance and accounting, and provide recommendations to drive operational and financial efficiency.
Qualifications/ skills:
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field. In addition, Chartered Accountant qualification/ MBA from premier institute
- Proven track record (7+ years) in a senior finance role, across large companies and start-ups/ high-growth environment, with expertise in accounting controllership, FP&A, business finance, treasury management, and fund-raising.
- Strong knowledge of financial principles, accounting standards, and regulatory compliance requirements.
- Demonstrated success in fund-raising activities, including preparing financial models, investor presentations, and due diligence support.
- Proficiency in financial modeling, forecasting, and budgeting.
- Excellent leadership, people management, and team-building skills.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a strategic mindset.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
- Strong business acumen and the ability to provide valuable financial insights to drive decision-making.
- Experience with financial software systems and tools.
- Knowledge of the B2B supply chain industry and understanding of India's financial landscape is highly desirable.
