Assistant Manager - Finance & Accounts
Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyze financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements. Ensure that financial reports are accurate and comply with relevant accounting standards and regulations.
- Budgeting: Assist in the development of annual budgets, and monitor budget performance throughout the fiscal year. Identify and analyze variances and recommend corrective actions as needed.
- Accounts Payable and Receivable: Oversee and process invoices, payments, and receipts. Maintain accounts payable and receivable records, ensuring timely payments and collections.
- Bank Reconciliation: Reconcile bank statements regularly to ensure accuracy and identify discrepancies.
- Financial Analysis: Conduct financial analysis and provide insights to support decision-making. This may include profitability analysis, cost analysis, and other financial performance assessments.
- Tax Compliance: Ensure the organization complies with all tax regulations and liaise with external auditors for tax filings. Keep abreast of tax law changes that may impact the organization.
- Internal Controls: Implement and maintain internal control procedures to safeguard financial assets and data.
- Financial Software: Utilize financial software systems and tools to facilitate accounting processes and reporting.
- Audit Support: Assist in the coordination of internal and external audits. Provide requested financial data and support to auditors.
- Team Collaboration: Collaborate with other departments to gather financial data and provide financial insights to support decision-making across the organization.
- Ad Hoc Projects: Participate in special projects related to financial analysis, process improvement, and other finance-related initiatives.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field. A master's degree or professional accounting certification (e.g., CPA) is a plus.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of relevant finance and accounting experience.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel. Experience with ERP systems is a plus.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of accounting principles and regulations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work well in a team and meet deadlines.
- Knowledge of relevant tax laws and regulations.
