British Council - Senior Project Manager

Project Planning management 

- Establish the delivery plan for the major project(s) or programme strand managed, focusing on the effective coordination of related work streams, ensuring they achieve the required business outcomes (i.e. quality, margin, timeliness, impact).

- Lead the Project planning, management and delivery of a significant and complex technical programme of work, to ensure achievement of the required impact/margin/timeliness outcomes for the British Council and its clients.

- Takes full responsibility for the success of the project planning including transitioning into Service Delivery by establishing and maintaining effective relationships with the Service Transition teams.

- Identify staff development needs across project/programme strand teams and in conjunction with the Head of Project Management to ensure appropriate training and support is in place to enable effective and high quality delivery.

Knowledge and Experience

- Demonstrable experience of leading the delivery of large projects or programme strands across a major part of an organisation and across a significant geographical area.

- Demonstrable experience of planning on MS project for large and complex programg.

- Demonstrates the ability to plan, structure and manage the - hard scope- of a programme that delivers tangible outputs (eg documents, systems, assets).

- Demonstrable experience of delivering networking Microsoft infrastructure projects, O365, Windows 10, SCCM etc.

- Broad business knowledge including commercial, financial and technical awareness

- Proven experience in Senior Stakeholder management and vendor management at a commercial level.
