Summary : At this point, the persons holding this position graduate from complete delivery focus to a more strategic mindset. They are directly responsible for items like the squads' overall vision and longer-term strategic initiatives to reach that vision. That being said, the squad remains limited in scope and must align as much as possible with the broader product and company vision. They own all key metrics associated with this squad and are responsible for success and failure of the squad and the various squad initiatives. Typical Responsibilities: - Designing and delivering a product roadmap - Validation of features with clients/stakeholders - Collaborative creation with the full squad of a squad vision and communication of that vision throughout the organization - Identification of strategic moves to achieve that vision and to add value to the company overall from the context of their squad - Coming up with key metrics for success of their squad and making available to product leadership - Coordination with UX/Dev/QA Competencies : - Ability to think strategically Leadership ability to rally team around vision - Ability to manage up and promulgate their thinking to the rest of product and company overall - Takes proactive measures to ensure success Holds themself accountable for the success of their product - Able to effectively communicate complex ideas Experience working with very technical products
